The price of a Red Sea liveaboard safari depends on several key factors. As a result, the same route may have different prices from one trip to another.
Factors That Affect the Price
Season
Low Season: January–February and July–August — generally offering the best prices.
Mid Season: March, June, September, and November.
High Season: April–May and October, as well as public holidays and New Year, when demand and prices are typically higher.
Number of Guests on Board
Smaller liveaboards with around 8–12 divers generally offer more privacy and comfort, while larger boats accommodating around 18–28 divers are often more affordable per person.
Liveaboard Category & Quality
Prices vary depending on the level of comfort and service, including cabin size, private bathrooms, air conditioning, food quality, crew size, and onboard services.
Safari Route
Remote destinations such as Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone, and St. John’s may cost more than northern routes due to longer sailing times, higher fuel consumption, and certain marine park fees.
Trip Duration
Shorter safaris of 3–4 nights generally cost less than longer trips of 6–8 nights. Naturally, the longer the trip, the higher the overall price.
